During the Olympic Games, that requirement is being waived for some countries, including the United States. The temporary visa waiver program will be in affect from Jun. 1st 2016 to Sep. 18th 2016, giving travelers more than nine weeks prior to the games and a month after to travel to Brazil visa-free.
